Factory Driving or Parking Assistance Devices such as Car Auto-Park-System, automatic headlights or spot warning systems are often only featured on a luxury car and also at high price.

Thanks to French automotive parts supplier VALEO who has introduced a new Speedometer that display the car’s speed on the windscreen in the driver’s line of sight. This will help the driver to get more focus on the road as they don’t need to look down towards their speedometer.

How does the system SPEED VISIO work?

An electronic control unit placed on the dashboard will project the speed onto an oval-shaped film placed on the windscreen. When the car is at a standstill, the speedometer reading and the projected speed will get synchronized. As the brightness of the LED is adjusted according to the ambient light, you will get the speed reading even in bright conditions. You can also set the speed limit. And when you exceed the limit, an audible and/or visual alert will notify you.

Unfortunately, VALEO only has sales outlets in Germany, France and the UK. People in US must wait for a moment, or maybe you can order it online?
